Privacy & Data Policy

TRACExAI (“TRACE”, “we”, “us”) operates the trace-home.com website and the TRACExAI Autonomous Home OS, including the Handshake Protocol, CivicNode Protocol, and TRACE Autopilot AI. For any privacy request, contact admin@trace-home.com.

We only collect what is needed to build a verifiable record of your home:

• Account data — name, email, and phone you submit when requesting beta access.
• Property data — address, photos, permits, invoices, warranties, and vendor records you upload or that we retrieve from public municipal sources.
• Usage data — device, browser, IP, and interaction events used to secure the service and improve reliability.
• Communications — messages you send us through forms, email, or support channels.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the service is not directed to them.

• Operate, secure, and improve the TRACExAI platform and your home’s repository.
• Verify vendor handshakes, permits, and lien / title checks against public records.
• Send transactional messages (verifications, alerts, receipts) and, if you opt in, beta announcements.
• Detect fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your property data to train third-party foundation models.

Where applicable, we process personal data under one or more of: your consent, performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable service.

We share information only with:

• Infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email delivery) bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.
• Vendors and municipalities you explicitly authorize via the Handshake or CivicNode Protocols.
• Authorities, when required by valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of TRACExAI, our users, or the public.
• A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, under equivalent protections.

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted, logged, and requires multi-factor authentication. Vision-AI verification runs on isolated compute with signed audit trails. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for least privilege, defense in depth, and rapid incident response.

We keep property records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. On account deletion, personal data is removed or anonymized within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax, permit, or lien records) or to resolve disputes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA including the right to know and the right to opt out of “sharing”. Submit any request to admin@trace-home.com; we respond within 30 days.

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to secure sessions. We use privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate usage; you can block non-essential cookies through your browser settings without breaking the service.

The TRACExAI name, logo, tagline “GitHub for Residential Real Estate”, the Handshake Protocol™, CivicNode Protocol™, TRACE Autopilot AI, and all related concepts, code, designs, and content are the property of TRACExAI and protected by copyright, trademark, and trade-secret law. You may not copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, or use them to build a competing product without written permission.

TRACExAI is provided “as is” during beta. We are not a licensed contractor, real-estate broker, title company, insurer, or law firm. Autopilot alerts, permit statuses, and equity estimates are informational and should be independently verified before acting on them.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
